Meet Our Attorney

Attorney Shartory L. Brown is passionate about the practice of law. Attorney Brown dedicates her time and patience in each and every case that is presented. Attorney Brown provides zealous advocacy for her clients while providing quality legal services that suites the individualized needs of each client.

Attorney Shartory L. Brown is originally from Norfolk, Virginia, where she attended Norfolk State University. While attending NSU, Attorney Brown received her Mediation Certification. She began a career as Mediation Coordinator for Norfolk Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court in 2004. Attorney Brown handled over 200 cases a month dealing with issues of Divorce and Children such as Custody, Visitation, and Child Support. Attorney Brown married in 2007, to an active duty military member, relocated and completed her studies at Kaplan University to a Bachelor’s of Science in Legal Studies in 2007.

Attorney Brown became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 2007. Attorney Brown represented seasoned investors, first time home buyers, and sellers with their real property needs. Throughout her career both in Real Estate and Mediation, relocated to several different states. Attorney Brown landed in as a final stop in Houston, Texas in 2013, where she received her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law Houston. After graduating at the top of her class, she then went on to work for the Office of the Attorney General in the Child Support Division until 2020.

Attorney Brown is a proud member of the Downtown Group, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Family Law Section and Real Estate Law Section of the Texas Bar. When Attorney Brown is not busy working on her clients’ matters, she spends her downtime with her now Military Veteran Spouse and 3 beautiful boys and volunteering to mentor young women with aspirations of becoming an Attorney.

Shartory L. Brown received her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from Kaplan University. Shortly after graduating and due to United States Coast Guard Permanent Change of Station military relocation, Shartory moved to Houston, Texas. Since moving to Houston, Shartory received her JD from South Texas College of Law Houston. While at STCLH, she served on the BLSA board as Fundraiser Chair, organized and managed The Winner's Circle, and was a Dean's List Honoree. 

Shartory is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association, Houston Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association.
